Twelve years ago, my life took an unexpected turn… After my family sold our textile mill here in Charlotte, North Carolina, I was faced with a question that many people encounter at some point in their lives: What’s next? At the time, I was in my early 40s with a wife and two children who were approaching high school graduation and preparing for college. I still had a family to support, bills to pay, and a future to build. The textile industry had been a major part of my life and identity. Walking away from it wasn’t easy. Like many people facing a career change, I had uncertainty, doubts, and more questions than answers. Become a Medium member Then I decided to do something completely different. I jumped into the deep end and launched a career in residential real estate. Looking back, it was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. Today, more than 12 years later, I am still passionate about helping buyers, sellers, and investors throughout Charlotte, North Carolina, and the surrounding areas of North and South Carolina. What started as a leap of faith became a career built on relationships, trust, problem-solving, and helping people navigate some of the biggest financial decisions of their lives. This blog is where I’ll share stories from my journey, lessons I’ve learned, insights about the Charlotte real estate market, and advice for buyers and sellers looking to make smart real estate decisions. I may have started as a textile guy, but real estate has become my passion. And the story is still being written!
